What is

The Falklands Ultramarathon

The Location

The Falkland Islands lie in the South Atlantic about 7,800 miles from the UK. All of the action takes place on the northern part of East Falkland - the largest of the islands.  Stanley is the capital and this is where you will be accommodated throughout the event.

The Race

The Falklands Ultra is 100 miles non-stop over the stunning open terrain of East Falkland. There are also 100km (60 mile) and 26 mile options for those wanting a shorter challenge.

Flights are arranged through our ATOL protected travel partner. Most international start locations are catered for. The final leg will be on a specially chartered aircraft or a scheduled flight from South America.

Food is provided during your stay on the islands; breakfast, packed lunch and cooked evening meal each day except for during the race itself where you will be self-sufficient (except for water). You can always eat out if you wish. Falkland Islanders are proud of their hearty home-cooked food and delicious desserts.Stanley boasts a variety of eating opportunities including cafes, pubs and restaurants. Don’t miss typical tastes of the Falklands - squid, upland goose pate, lamb, mutton and beef. Vegetarians are also taken care of with tasty options on menus around the town.

You will be accommodated communally in halls. Camp beds will be provided. It isn't luxury, but you probably weren't expecting it to be!
